This Jordan 1 Low presents a stylish low-top version of the iconic Chicago colourway, with its well-known trio of tones providing an iconic look. This begins underfoot, where a vivid Varsity Red coats the entire outsole, including the Nike-branded section pressed below the arch of the foot. In front of this indented area, concentric circles emanate out from a central point on the medial side of the forefoot, switching between thick and thin lines to deliver the ideal traction for twisting and turning. The heel then facilitates solid planting of the foot with its thickly lugged grip structures, thus supplying comprehensive traction to the wearer. Layered atop this is an all-white midsole whose blend of foam and Air cushioning makes the sneaker incredibly comfortable to wear.

Smooth leather then fills out the various parts of the upper, starting with the clean white underlayer that forms the toe box and the midfoot panels. The former is decorated with a mesmerising fan-shaped pattern of perforations that allow the foot to breathe, while the latter carries a diagonal line of stitching for a finely crafted aesthetic. Varsity Red overlays then create the forefoot mudguard and the two overlays that rise up from the midsole behind it, as well as the eyestay and the two overlays on the back of the shoe. These last pieces consist of a heel counter and a heel panel adorned with a set of Air Jordan Wings in black.

The shoe’s inner brings together its three appealing tones once again as the lining is black, the insole white and the Nike Air branding printed onto the sockliner Varsity Red. Above this, there is a label at the top of the tongue that flips the colour arrangement found on the insole – it has a Varsity Red surface and a white Nike Air logo woven through it. Black laces then tie up over the white tongue, before broad black swooshes stretch along the flanks, thus finishing off this Air Jordan 1 in style.
