Jordan 1 Mid

This Jordan 1 Mid comes in a dynamic two-tone design that gives it heritage style. Both colours feature on the Air-infused sole unit, with white on the textured exterior of the midsole and a rich navy blue known as Obsidian on the outsole. This last component is filled with grippy structures all the way across. Below the forefoot is a series of concentric circles which radiate out from a central circle on the medial side, while the heel contains solid lug formations to help the wearer plant their foot with confidence.

Dappled white leather acts as the underlayer of the upper, where it is visible on the toe box, the midfoot panels and the top of the mid-cut collar. Located on top of this elegant base are several Obsidian overlays. The first of these is the forefoot mudguard, which wraps around the perforated toe, and there are additional overlays behind it on each side. These reach up from the midsole to overlap with the Obsidian eyestay, with which they share a few eyelets. White laces thread through these and upwards over the white textile tongue. At the top, they pass in and out of the two eyelets in the collar overlay, which is also deep blue in tone, as is the heel counter below it.

Powerful branding effects result from the colour variation on this sneaker, firstly over the lateral collar, whose blue surface is printed with a pair of white Air Jordan Wings. Eye-catching Obsidian swooshes spread along each flank, contrasting vigorously with the white panels of the midfoot. Elsewhere, the tongue hosts a square patch whose Obsidian face is marked with a Metallic Gold Jumpman above the word “Air” in the same elegant tone. Within the shoe, the entire inner is coated in soft Obsidian fabric, and the insole has been printed with a final piece of branding – a glittering Metallic Gold Jumpman that shimmers in the light.
