Lively splashes of colour give this Nike Air Force 1 Mid x Off-White™ a radical look, while its mostly black outer helps to ground things, creating a well-balanced sneaker. The most vibrant tones show up on the outsole, which, as well as containing the familiar circular grip patterns, features two sections of spiky structures, one in the midfoot and another in the toe. The bottom surface is bright pink with dashes of blue, and the sides, which extend up over the midsole at the front, reveal uneven layers of blue and green. Meanwhile, the rest of the midsole is completely black, and orange highlights are visible through the window in the heel, above which the topline begins to warp out of shape, forming a curvy border along its edge.

The upper continues the black theme, though with a mix of lighter grey tones through the textile material of the forefoot, midfoot and rear sections. These are marked with stitched detailing that draws a dynamic pattern across the shoe, and strong bands of black material reinforce the seams between each section, adding extra durability. Translucent swooshes adorn the sidewalls, each one held in place by a line of zigzag stitching at the front and a wrap of thread around the tail end. Behind the medial logo sits a paragraph of white text that lays out some of the facts behind the design, including the two companies involved, the name of the model, the location of Nike’s headquarters and the year the first AF1 was made. On the opposite side, the lateral logo has a radiant orange tag sewn down beneath its tail with more zigzag thread.

Round at the back, there is a wavy-edged TPU plate emerging from the midsole in black, above which a light grey heel strip extends up towards the heel panel. There, it moves under this tab and appears again at the top, where it loops over to form a convenient heel pull. The heel panel itself has black Nike Air text embroidered into it, but the tongue simply has the word “Air” written on it in a white, stylised graffiti font.

Within the shoe, everything is black, except for the hand graphic on the right insole and the face graphic on the left one. Back on the outer, additional white laces criss-cross over the top of the traditional black ones. They are secured by a pink and yellow toggle at the top and a pair of black discs attached to each side of the sneaker. The final piece to distinguish this bold design is the orange zip tie hanging from the laces – another classic sign of Nike’s Off-White™ collaborations.
